14 DAYS HAKUNA MATATA BUSH 2 BEACH SAFARI

A fantastic safari adventure that includes three of Tanzania’s uncrowded national parks; the Nyerere National Park, Mikumi National Park, and Udzungwa National Park followed by the superb beaches of either Zanzibar, Pemba, Mafia or Dar es Salaam. DAY 01 – FLIGHT TO DAR ES SALAAM

Arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport where you will be met by your Eyes 4 Nature private safari guide and transferred to your accommodation.

DAY 02 – STAY IN DAR CITY

There are so many things you can do in this beautiful city which is located along the coast of the Indian Ocean. Dar es Salaam is the largest city in Tanzania and home to a wide range of people and cultures. It is well known for its beaches and islands, exquisite restaurants, and good nightlife. Its status as the economic hub of Tanzania makes it well connected to surrounding cities, the islands of Zanzibar, Pemba, Mafia, and the national parks in the south.

After a long flight, you may simply wish to spend this first day relaxing in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel or unwind on one of the beaches in order to acclimatize.

DAY 03 – SAFARI TO NYERERE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, your private safari guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive to Nyerere National Park where your dream safari begins. This new park is one of the world’s largest wildlife reserve, twice the size of Belgium and boasting UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE STATUS.

You will spend three nights at Moloka Safari Lodge in the heart of fascinating Acacia woodlands, a great base for exploring the park. You will be able to enjoy all the wonderful activities Moloka Safari Lodge has to offer. Cruising on the Rufiji River you will discover so much more of the wildlife, an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon as the sun sets over the bush and with a cool drink and a snack in your hand.

You may want to take a cooking class and taste the local authentic cuisine or go on a cultural tour of the villages. Please just ask and we will be happy to plan your days accordingly.

DAY 04 – GAME VIEWING IN NYERERE NATIONAL PARK

There will be a chance to enjoy morning birdwatching around Moloka Safari Lodge before breakfast and then go on a private wildlife safari drive to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. Nyerere has over 2,100 species of plants, more than 400 varieties of birds, more than half of Tanzania’s elephant population, and over 120,000 buffalos, 40,000 hippos, and over 4,000 lions which you will not find in any other park worldwide, not to the nation the fact that it is home to the planet’s largest population of rare wild dogs.

DAY 05 – WILDLIFE ADVENTURE OR RELAX

You can plan each day with your private safari guide as you wish. You decide when to get up, how you wish to spend your day, and when and where you wish to eat. It is your own private tour. Your private guide will make sure that your safari in Tanzania is an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

You can even choose to go for a walking safari which allows you to learn more about the smaller animals of the bush and to learn from the guides about the traditional uses of plants and trees and how the local communities live in harmony with the varied wildlife in the park. The staff at Molokai Safari Lodge will do their best to make your stay in this remote corner of Moloka village an unforgettable experience.

DAY 06 – A ROUTE TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

After a leisurely breakfast at Mloka Safari Lodge, you will set out on a drive-through spectacular landscape. You will enjoy the day on board gazing at the beautiful scenery through which you pass. Delicious dinner will be served under the starry sky at Camp Bastian after you have had time to freshen up after the long drive. The camp is renowned for delicious food and good service.

DAY 07 – MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK EXPLORATION

Enjoy breakfast in the camp before setting off on a full day’s game drive with a picnic lunch. You will spend the day in Mikumi National Park enjoying the wildlife and the spectacular landscape. Lions and Leopard sightings are especially good here where the large herds on wide plains provide many opportunities for hunting game, which is always an exciting spectacle to witness. Elephant and Hippo sightings are also very good at Mikumi National Park.

DAY 08- JOURNEY TO UDZUNGWA MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

You will be able to enjoy breakfast at Camp Bastian before hitting the road to Udzungwa. On the way, you will have an opportunity to visit a Maasai boma and learn about the fascinating cultural and traditional way of life of this legendary tribe. Dinner, relaxation, and overnight at Udzungwa Lodge.

DAY 09 – A DAY AT UDZUNGWA MOUNTAIN

Being part of the Eastern Arch Mountains, Uduzungwa National Park is home to a great diversity of wildlife. The park is famous for its high concentration of endemic species of animals and plants and is an important hotspot for biodiversity. Nature lovers can explore mountain forests for a number of rare, endemic, and endangered species of flora and fauna including Sanje Mangabey, Iringa red Colobus, and endemic Udzungwa forest partridge and Rufous wing sunbird. The park offers a number of breathtaking waterfalls including the biggest waterfall in Tanzania’s national parks system, the Sanje waterfall with 170 m.

DAY 10 – ROAD TRIP TO DAR ES SALAAM OR FLIGHT TO THE BEACH

On the road trip to Dar es Salaam you will enjoy the attractive landscape of this part of Tanzania and your private safari guide will be pleased to explain things and answer all your questions. DAY 11, 12 & 13 – TO THE BEACH IN ZANZIBAR

On arrival at Zanzibar, Pemba, or Mafia you will be transferred to your beachfront hotel. Here you will spend three nights of your holiday unwinding on the beach. These islands are well known for their incredible white sand beaches with a good variety of water sports activities.

DAY 14 – FLY BACK HOME

On this day you will be transferred to the airport in time to catch your flight back home.
