"The dry seasons (June-October and Dec-Feb) are fantastic for wildlife viewing and beach weather. For the Great Migration in Northern Serengeti (river crossings), July to September are often ideal. But don't worry, Tanzania is a year-round experience – I'm happy to advise you for your specific desired time."

What animals can I expect in the different parks?

"Arusha NP offers Colobus monkeys and scenic diversity. Tarangire is famous for elephants and baobabs. Ngorongoro Crater is a Big Five hotspot. The Serengeti is vast – Central for big cats, North for the Migration (seasonal). It's an incredible diversity, my friend!"

How strenuous is this trip?

"There are some longer driving days, especially between parks. The game drives themselves are relaxed in the vehicle. However, we plan enough time for rest. 'Pole pole' (slowly, slowly) is the motto in Tanzania. The relaxation in Zanzibar tops it off perfectly."

Is malaria prophylaxis necessary?

"Yes, for all of Tanzania, including Zanzibar, malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended. Please talk to your doctor or a tropical institute in good time. Better safe than sorry when enjoying the wilderness."

Are there luggage restrictions for the domestic flight to the Serengeti and Zanzibar?

"Absolutely. On bush flights, usually only 15 kg per person in soft duffel bags is allowed (no hard-shell suitcases). This is important for the small aircraft. Pack smart and light!"
