Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Dar es Salaam
"Your Eyes 4 Nature Safaris guide will be waiting for you at Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA). They'll transfer you to your hotel in Dar es Salaam. Depending upon your arrival time, you might get a short safari briefing this evening, otherwise tomorrow morning. The rest of the day is yours – relax by the pool and settle in."
Drive to Magnificent Nyerere National Park
"After a leisurely breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up. Today, your private safari adventure begins with the drive towards Nyerere National Park! This vast park, twice the size of Belgium and a UNESCO World Heritage site, will blow you away. You'll spend the next three nights at Mloka Safari Lodge, in the heart of fascinating acacia woodlands – a perfect base. After a delicious traditional safari lunch and a short break, you'll head down to the Rufiji River for a boat safari. This is one of the best wilderness experiences, believe me! You'll get up close to the animals and see everything from a new perspective. After about two hours on the river, with a cool drink at sunset, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and a restful night."
Explore the Unspoiled Nyerere National Park
"Today features a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. A great opportunity to enjoy the undisturbed nature of Nyerere National Park and discover its fantastic wildlife. Did you know there are over 2,100 plant species, more than 400 bird species, over half of Tanzania's elephant population, and over 4,000 lions here? And the largest population of rare wild dogs! The natural beauty of this park is simply breathtaking. After a sundowner, you'll drive back to the lodge."
On Foot & Local Insights in Nyerere
"This morning, you have a choice: either a walking safari in the park – a completely different way to experience Africa! Open your senses, listen, smell, and feel nature. Or you can visit a nearby village and learn more about the daily lives, culture, and traditions of the local people during a one to two-hour tour. Both are experiences that will surely stick in your memory. The afternoon is free at the lodge to let the impressions sink in or to further explore the lodge surroundings."
Journey to Dar es Salaam & Beach Time Begins
"After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to Nyerere National Park. You'll head back to Dar es Salaam, either by road or optionally by flight (depending on arrangements). Upon arrival in Dar, you'll be transferred to your hotel on one of the beautiful beaches. The rest of the day is for chilling and arriving at the Indian Ocean."
Discover Dar's Hidden Beaches or Culture
"Dar es Salaam offers some truly beautiful, clean, and white sandy beaches. Enjoy your time in the shade of a coconut tree, let the soothing powers of the Indian Ocean wash your stress away. Besides untouched beaches, islands, delicious seafood, and good local music, you can optionally visit the National Museum and House of Culture. There you'll learn more about Tanzania's culture and history. A good plan for a few hours if you're in the mood for an educational experience."
Farewell to Tanzania
"I hope you had an unforgettable trip! Your safari guide will transfer you to the airport today for your flight home or onward journey. Kwa heri na safari njema – Goodbye and safe travels!"
