KARAMBA ZANZIBAR

On a white-sand palm-fringed beach, caressing the Indian Ocean, you find Karamba. A small and elegant structure, comprised of 14 sea-front cottages and an infinity swimming pool with a conductive atmosphere, surrounded by a tropical garden. Karamba is the perfect getaway to an exotic African paradise. Set in the Fisherman’s village of Kizimkazi, on the Southwest coast of Zanzibar. In the Menai Bay (the largest Conservation Area in Zanzibar). Far away from crowded tourist areas.

Where it’s easy and fun to swim with dolphins. Where the evenings become unforgettable overlooking the wonderful sundowner while relaxing by the bonfire or practicing Yoga and meditation on the sand banks. Where the village women sit on the beach, weaving ropes from coconut pods. Where the oldest archive Shirazi mosque on the Archipelago is located.

All the bungalows face the ocean, a few meters from the sea. Each bungalow has been individually designed to provide comfort with character, retaining a natural and ecological style, and has a double bed with canopy and mosquito nets, ceiling fan, bathroom with hot shower, a dressing room, and a large terrace facing the sea.

A seafront restaurant offers delicious, innovative, fresh, and natural meals. From breads and jams to soups and sauces, everything you’ll eat at Karamba is homemade. The chill-out offers a relaxed atmosphere; accompanied by an accurate soundtrack, sit back overlooking the dolphins diving and the Humpback whales sometimes, watch the sun as it sinks into the Indian Ocean painting the sky orange and gold.
