Fundu Lagoon is a small, private hotel located on a beautiful mangrove-fringed beach on the southwestern shores of Pemba Island, part of the Zanzibar Spice `Island` archipelago. Pemba lies to the north of its larger and better-known sister island, Unguja, and here you will find natural peace and tranquility.
Remote and private, Fundu Lagoon is situated by a sandy beach on the liminal fringes where the jungle meets the ocean and is only accessible by boat. The hotel has a range of twelve private hillside and beachfront suites as well as wonderful communal spaces that include four bars, a jetty, a fusion spa, a stunning infinity pool, five-star dive facilities, and a spacious open-sided restaurant serving a wide range of delicious cuisine. All the spacious tented rooms have ocean views, romantic thatched roofs, and discrete privacy with wide open spaces. The hillside accommodation enjoys fantastic views of the Indian Ocean as well as a cooling night-time breeze. The beachfront accommodation is shaded by tropical trees and shrubs. The sandy white beach is on your doorstep and the noise of the ocean will lull you to sleep. All rooms can be furnished with double or twin beds. The Superior suites can accommodate two additional beds if required. Wi-Fi is available to all guests in the main reception area.
