DAY 01 – FLIGHT TO DAR ES SALAAM CITY

Arrive at Julius Nyerere International Airport where you will meet your Eyes 4 Nature private safari guide who will take you to your accommodation.

DAY 02 – DISCOVER DAR CITY

With its fantastic location along the coast of the Indian Ocean, Dar es Salaam is the largest city in Tanzania and home to a wide range of people and cultures. Known for its pristine beaches, unspoiled islands, seafood, and good music, the city is brimming with life, offering a variety of activities for every taste. A good first day to get acclimatized.

DAY 03 – TIME TO EXPLORE NYERERE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, your private safari guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive to Nyerere Park where your private safari dream begins. Boasting UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE status, Nyerere Park is a newly established park that is part of what is known as the Selous Game Reserve.

This new park is now one of the world’s largest wildlife sanctuaries, twice the size of Belgium. Nyerere has over 2,100 species of plants, more than 400 varieties of birds, more than half of Tanzania’s elephant population, and over 4,000 lions, probably the largest population on the continent.

It is also home to the planet’s largest population of rare wild dogs. The natural beauty of this park gives you the rare opportunity to observe all these animals in their natural habitat.

Once you’ve checked into the lodge, feel free to freshen up and relax before your lunch. In the late afternoon, you will be heading out for an aquatic safari on a Rufiji River Boat, one of Tanzania’s best wilderness safari experiences. The boat cruise will give you the opportunity to venture close and see the animals from a different perspective. You will learn more about the fascinating life of aquatic birds and experience the wonderful hippo and crocodile populations.

After two hours of cruising the Rufiji River and enjoying the amazing sunset while sipping your drink, you will return to the camp for a delicious dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay.

DAY 04 – ENJOY FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN NYERERE PARK

After a leisurely breakfast, you will head out with a picnic lunch to explore the undisturbed nature of Nyerere National Park and discover the amazing wildlife. After your sundowner, you will head to the camp for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

DAY 05 – ROAD TRIP TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

Before setting off to Mikumi National Park, a walking safari, which is a great way to connect more intimately with nature, can be arranged for you if desire. After breakfast enjoy a beautiful drive to Mikumi National Park. There are so many interesting things to see on this beautiful route. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 06 – EXPLORE MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy breakfast in the camp before setting off on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Spend the day out with your private safari guide and enjoy the stunning game viewing that this park offers. Lion and leopard sightings are especially good here, with the large herds on the plains providing plenty of game for hunting which is always an exciting spectacle to witness. Elephant and Hippo sightings are also very good here.

DAY 07 – ON TO UDUZUNGWA MOUNTAIN PARK

This morning you will drive to Uduzungwa Mountain National Park. On the way, you will have an opportunity to visit a Maasai boma and learn about the traditional lifestyle of this legendary tribe. Lunch at Hondo Hondo camp followed by some time to relax before heading out to discover the beauty of this region.

DAY 08 – A DAY AT UDZUNGWA MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

Udzungwa Mountain National Park is part of the Eastern Arch Mountains and is home to a great diversity of wildlife. The park is famous for its high concentration of endemic species of animals and plants and is an important hotspot for biodiversity worldwide. Nature lovers can explore the mountain forests and discover a number of rare, endemic species of Sanje Mangabey, Iringa red Colobus, and endemic Udzungwa Forest Patridge and Rufous Wing Sunbird. The park offers a number of spectacular waterfalls including the biggest waterfall in Tanzania’s national parks system. The Sanje Waterfall is 170m high.

DAY 09 – HEAD TO RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

Today’s safari takes you to one of the less-crowded national parks called Ruaha. Ruaha National Park consists of a larger ecosystem of the Rungwa game reserve, Usangu game reserve, and some other protected areas making it the second-largest national park in Tanzania. The name “Ruaha” is derived from the Hehe word “Ruvaha” which means river. There are not many naturally wild places like this left in our world. You will definitely fall in love with the beauty of its unspoiled wilderness.

DAY 10 – EXPLORING THE UNCROWDED RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will drive to explore this untamed park. You will have a great time discovering the dramatic scenery and biodiversity on your private wilderness safari. Return to the camp for dinner and a good night’s rest to the magical sounds of the bush.

DAY 11 – THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES TO RUAHA PARK

You will set out for your last game drive in Ruaha National Park. Enjoy a full day exploring the secret corners of Ruaha National Park. After a sundowner, you will drive back to the camp for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

DAY 12 – TO THE BEACH

Enjoy an early morning game drive on your final morning in the Ruaha National Park before departing to the beach.

DAY 13 & 14 – RELAXING AT THE BEACH

Spend your days relaxing on the beaches of either Zanzibar, Pemba, Mafia, Pangani, or Dar es Salaam, which offer so many exciting activities like city tours, spice tours, kite surfing, snorkeling, or deep sea diving excursions.

DAY 15 – THE JOURNEY BACK HOME

On this day you will be dropped off at the airport in time for your flight back home.
