10 DAYS WILDLIFE SAFARI, HIKING & BEACH HOLIDAYS

A unique combination of wildlife safari, hiking, and a few days on the beach- what more could you ask for? One of the joys of this unique trip is being immersed in the pristine wilderness of the most famous national parks in Africa, and exploring the more remote corner where you will encounter few other visitors. DAY 01 – FLIGHT TO DAR ES SALAAM

Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will meet your Eyes 4 Nature private safari guide and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 02 – DISCOVER THE HIDDEN GEMS OF DAR CITY

The first day will give you time to acclimatize. You may choose to relax by the swimming pool or on the beach. Dar es Salaam city is located along the coast of the Indian Ocean, home to a wide range of people and cultures, known for its beautiful beaches, inhabited islands, seafood, and nightlife. The city is brimming with a variety of activities for every taste. Let us know in which activities you wish to participate. Your private safari guide will visit you for a next-day safari briefing.

DAY 03 – SET OFF TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will check out from your hotel and your safari guide will drive towards Mikumi National Park, which will take approximately seven hours. Depending on the time left at Dar, at Mikumi, you may decide to go for an afternoon game drive or visit the Maasai Boma and see the lifestyle of this legendary tribe. You may also stay in Mikumi National Park accommodation or outside the park at Camp Bastian. In the evening your private safari guide will brief you regarding the next day.

DAY 04 – EXPLORE MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will head out for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The variety of wildlife in the Mikumi National Park, the vast herds of buffalo and elephants roaming the plains, and the outstanding birding are exceptional, so remember to bring your binoculars and bird book. After a sundowner, you will return to your accommodation for dinner, relaxation, and a good night’s rest.

DAY 05 – THE ROUTE TO UDZUNGWA MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast and a quick introduction to today’s adventure, your private safari guide will drive towards Udzungwa Mountain National Park. En route, you will have an opportunity to stop at the children’s orphanage to spend a moment with the children. You will then continue enjoying the beautiful landscape this region has to offer. The main economic sector is agriculture so you will be surprised to see huge sugar cane, plantain, and rice fields. Eyes 4 Nature Safari guide will share with you all the fascinating history of this incredible region. We recommend you spend your two nights at Hondo Hondo Tented Camp. The camp organizes activities like village tours, bike tours, and birdwatching.

DAY 06 – UDIZUNGWA MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

Being part of the Eastern Arc Mountains, Udzungwa Mountain National Park is famous for its high concentration of endemic species of animals and plants and birds found only here, an important hotspot of biodiversity. Nature lovers can explore mountain forests in search of several rare, endemic, and endangered species of flora and fauna including endemic species of Sanje mangabey, Iringa red colobus, and endemic Udzungwa forest partridge and Rufous wing sunbird. The park offers many spectacular waterfalls including the biggest waterfall in Tanzania’s national parks, the Sanje waterfall with 170 m. Enjoying your picnic by the waterfall is something not to be missed, we recommend you a swimsuit and hiking shoes.

DAY 07 – ROAD TRIP TO DAR OR TAKE TO THE SKY

You may decide to drive approximately ten hours to Dar es Salaam or catch a flight at Mikumi National Park straight to the beach, please get in touch with us for more information.

DAY 08 & 09 – RELAX ON THE BEACH

There are so many activities you can do while you’re on the beach; snorkeling, diving, swimming with the Dolphins, kite surfing, city and spice tour, and even a traditional cooking class can be arranged for you to add the taste of local cuisine on your menu plan. Your accommodation reception will be happy to organize activities for you.

DAY 10 – GOODBYE BEACH

On this day you will be transferred to the Airport in time for your flight home.
